Tuesday Night 7:45 PM
Unknown Future-Moments after arrival, more than three hours after allergic reaction to Local Anesthesia caused her Anophylactic (sp?) shock. Her heart was racing then went "almost Flatline" requiring use of defibrillator 4 (Four) times. When I arrived two hour after the surgery and allergic reaction, her heart rate was 165 bpm and extremely low blood pressure. Edema had filled her lungs with water mist requiring a Ventilator to pump in and out air.
When I first arrived Heart Beats-per-Minute was 165. I began to pray to my Heavenly Father. In the first five min. after I chased away relatives, nurses, doctors, a head nurse came in and exclaimed that the BPM had dropped to 145! Every five minutes or so it dropped another ten on average. In twenty minutes it was down to 115-119, When at this time I went downstairs to meet new family members that arrived. I was explaining through a student on my cell phone as translator the situation, when the doctor came and excitedly told ME, that Nancy had regained consciousness. Over the next five hours she was awake then drifted asleep but her heart beats finally came to 105-108. By the next day at 12 hour mark it was below 100. Her Lungs were also 75% normal. I thank God for all those who said prayers, Facebook Friends, some collegues in the Adoption field, and especially several drinking buddies in 3 Alley Pub who actually bowed their heads and prayed for us. These are friends INDEED. Nancy and I extend our heartfelt gratitude.
KWB: I am so sorry to hear and see this happen to your wife. My prayers are with you both. I can only imagine how you are feeling having to get through this. I pray that you are able to stay strong through this all. Nowadays these medicines can seem to do more harm than good because of the unknown. Love you big brov!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jae. Nancy is doing well now and back on the job, defending the city as a Public Servant with-a-gun.
