The Korean War Baby has been on extended vacation to the Philippines. Offered a teaching position in an International School as a substitute teacher of ESL, I took the opportunity for possible future plans. Heading back on Sat. to Seoul (Hoping that radiation from Japan doesn't head our way!!!).
Situation in the Philippines is very different from Korea in the matter of Unwed Mothers and their children. Personal stories will be related with the identities hidden, showing how society and religion play a huge role in differing attitudes towards women who find themselves in so called "unwanted" pregnancies. Though the need for Adoptive Families continues to exist from the Philippines (more research to follow) the general practice is for Family Support for the "Unwed Mother".
